Digital West Media's mission is to provide cost-effective, Internet-based content and e-commerce systems that meet the specific needs of each individual customer. Digital West Media offers a full-range of Web development, design and e-commerce solutions.

Our Staff
Digital West Media has developed a team of Internet specialists who have extensive skills and experience developing programs, content and solutions for Internet-based products and services.

All graphics, programming, and multimedia production services are produced in-house by Digital West Media's (DWMI's) staff. The entire DWMI Team has years of experience in the computer graphics industry. Our designers/programmers have a solid foundation in image manipulation, scanning, color and computer generated graphics. The quality and clarity of images, graphics and navigational systems developed by DWMI stands out when compared to sites designed by other production companies.

The programming skills of our team include a variety of languages and programs including: HTML, Flash, Shockwave, QuickTime Movies, QuickTime Virtual Reality (QTVRs), Animated gifs, CGI Scripts, PERL, and Lingo (Macromedia Director).

History
Digital West Media, Inc. was established in 1973 under the name of JDL Products, Inc. dba San Diego Printers. In 1993, multimedia and CD-ROM technology were introduced into the market as a viable method for information distribution. San Diego Printers began to research multimedia and CD-ROM technology and quickly discovered that the long development cycle and the lack of a large established CD-ROM user-base could not compete with the Internet.

In 1994, the popularity of the Internet grew and in February of 1995, Digital West Media developed its first Internet Web site. It wasn't until 1995 that the corporate name was changed from JDL Products, Inc. to Digital West Media, Inc. to reflect the new media products and services provided by the company, in addition to its traditional commercial printing services.

Digital West Media, Inc. sold its commercial printing division (San Diego Printers) in September of 1999 and continues to focus all of its resources and energy on medium- to large-scale Internet and multimedia projects.
